The timing belt (or cambelt) keeps the top and bottom of your engine turning together. On many engines, if the belt snaps, the valves and pistons can collide, which can mean a very expensive repair.
Your car manufacturer sets a replacement interval for the timing belt, based on mileage and age. We will follow manufacturer guidelines, just as we do with servicing, to make sure it’s changed before it becomes a problem.
When we replace your timing belt we can also check the water pump and tensioners, which are often driven by the belt and are best replaced at the same time.

Some engines use a chain instead of a belt. Let us know your make and model and we’ll tell you which your car has.
