The information we collect

• When you use our contact form: your name, email address, phone number, vehicle registration (if you give it) and your message.
• When you phone or email us: the details you give us, such as your name, contact details and information about your vehicle.
• When we work on your vehicle: your contact details, your vehicle details (such as registration, make, model and mileage), MOT results and records of the work carried out and payments made.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and book your vehicle in.
• To carry out MOTs, servicing and repairs, and to contact you about your vehicle while it is with us.
• To keep the records we must keep by law, including MOT records and accounting records.

We will never sell your information or use it to send you marketing without your permission.

Our lawful basis

We use your information because it is needed to take the steps you have asked for before a contract (such as answering your enquiry), to perform our contract with you (carrying out work on your vehicle), to meet our legal obligations (for example MOT and tax records), and for our legitimate interests in running our business.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where it is needed:

• The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), as required for MOT testing.
• Companies that provide our IT, website hosting and email services, who may only use it on our instructions.
• Our accountants and professional advisers, and anyone we are required to share it with by law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to any work are kept for up to 12 months. Records of work carried out and payments are kept for 6 years to meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that, information is securely deleted.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We only use what is strictly needed for the site to work. Your browser may also store a small file listing UK bank holidays so we can show whether we are open; this contains no personal information.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for it to be transferred to you or another organisation. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
